The Crown Jewel is an enjoyable cocktail recipe that got its name from the fact that each of the ingredients used has a crown, and the drink has a purple jewel tone. The cocktail is composed of an ounce and one fourth each of Crown Royal whisky and Smirnoff Vodka, an ounce and a half each of sweet and sour mix and cranberry juice, an ounce of Chambord raspberry liqueur and a splash of fresh lime juice. It is then mixed in a Collins glass in the same order as above with the Chambord floating on top.
- 1 1/4 oz Crown Royal Canadian whisky
- 1 1/4 oz Smirnoff vodka
- 1 1/2 oz sweet and sour mix
- 1 1/2 oz cranberry juice
- 1 oz Chambord raspberry liqueur
- 1 splash fresh lime juice
Mix all ingredients in a collins glass in order, top to bottom (floating chambord on top). Garnish with lime, and serve. To make shots instead, place all ingredients in a shaker and shake well.
